Fresh from Plant Bingo Nights
Just brought home a plant from a Plant Bingo Nights event? Here's the short version of how to keep it happy — the same tips that are printed on the card in your bag.
The quick guide
Bright, indirect light works for almost every plant we give away — near a window is great, but avoid harsh direct sun, which can scorch the leaves.
Water when the top 1–2 inches of soil feel dry, usually about once a week. When in doubt, underwater rather than overwater — it's the #1 way houseplants get killed.
Keep your plant above 55°F and away from cold drafts, heating vents, and AC units.
Wipe dust off the leaves every so often so they can breathe and photosynthesize, and give the pot a quarter turn now and then so it grows evenly toward the light.

Take a photo of your plant and upload it to Claude, a free AI assistant from Anthropic. It can identify the exact species and give you care instructions tailored to it — including exactly how often to water it, how much light it needs, and warning signs to watch for.
